What is an FBO?

If you are new to the world of private jet travel, the concept of a Fix Base Operator is crucial to understanding how to elevate your flying experience. FBOs are service providers that cater specifically to private aircraft and their passengers, offering a range of amenities and services designed to make your journey as smooth as possible. Set up as a business at an airport, an FBO provides services to private jets, including ground handling, fueling, maintenance, aircraft parking, catering and passenger services. Think of it as the concierge of the airport, tailored specifically for private aircraft and their owners or charters.

Enjoy the Perks

Efficient Handling: One of the main advantages of using an FBO is the expedited handling of your aircraft. From quick refuelling to international arrival clearance, FBOs streamline the process, allowing you to spend less time waiting and more time enjoying the journey.

Personalised Service: FBOs often offer personalised services tailored to your preferences. Whether it’s arranging a gourmet meal, organising a transfer or car rental as well as handling special requests, the staff is there to cater to your needs.

Customs and Immigration: If you’re travelling internationally, FBOs often provide customs and immigration services at the facility, reducing the hassle of navigating busy terminals and waiting in long lines.

Ground Transportation: Ensure all transportation is ready and waiting for you upon arrival at the terminal. Many FBOs have partnerships with luxury car services, making it easy for you to get to your next destination.

Machjet international have Fixed Base Services at Sunshine Coast and Cairns Airport. Both include the added luxury of VIP lounges, meeting facilities and 24 hour ground handling. We offer every client VIP service from the moment they walk through the doors, until the time departing the airport at the end of the trip.
